Thursday Throw-down: Vampire Victor

One of the things that the teens and I love to do is get into these huge discussions about what would happen if different characters from all the different books we've read would meet up.  How would they interact with each other?  How would they react?  If there was a fight, who would win?  Which is the biggest bad?  Who has the best power?  The list of questions goes on.  So, I figured why not bring our discussion to the YA blogsphere.

So, for today's THURSDAY THROW-DOWN, who would be the Vampire Victor of these three?

SPIKE, our beloved bleached Billy Idol punk rock vampire from Buffy the Vampire Slayer

or

JASPER HALE,  the empathic, impulsive vampire boyfriend of Alice from The Twilight Saga by Stephanie Meyers

or

JAMES STARK, champion archer who's gift from the goddess is never missing his target, red vampire and Zoey's Warrior from The House of Night series by PC and Kristin Cast

  1. I haven't read The House of Night, so I'll have to limit my vote to Spike or Jasper. And Jasper is SO boring. Thank goodness he has Alice or he'd be totally forgettable. Spike is a badass; he has hilarious dialogue; and he's killed Slayers, which most Big Bads couldn't manage. Plus he has experience killing vampires after switching to the Scoobies. Spike forever!

  2. Spike. Obviously. He killed TWO slayers and then fell in love with a third! Then he sacrificed himself to save the world. Yeah, I gotta go with Spike. It doesn't get more BAMF than that. Plus he's really hot in that leather duster.

  3. Spike would win, hands down. No-one could beat him!

  4. I also have to go with Spike. Hands down. Not even a contest. But what if it was Angel vs. Spike? Or Angelus vs. Spike?

    1. Spike beat Angel to the cup of perpetual torment. Legitimately beat him. I don't know that he could do it every time, but it is possible!

  5. Ah but see, Stark cannot miss his target, so technically, if he gets an arrow off, he could get rid of at least one of his challengers.... :-)

    1. I only read book 1 of the House of Night series. I likes it, but vampires are not zombies.

  6. Another vote for Spike - for all the reasons listed above. Plus - that jacket and accent!
