Teens, Tech and Programming
Earlier today, I presented a Webinar on Teens, Tech and Programming. Like you, I am in the process of putting together not only my Teen Tech Week programming, but in general I have been exploring how I can better incorporate technology into my programming. So I went a little crazy with the research. So here are various ideas for incorporating technology into both hands on (active) and self-directed (passive) programming with teens in libraries, including ways to use social media and apps. Also, check out this cool Pinterest board of STEM projects for Teen Summer Reading 2014 from Jennifer Rummel over at YA Book Nerd.

For some reason, I cannot access the resources at work. It is blocked by CIPA. Apparently, the filters think this is pornography/adult content. Now that would be a very interesting teen program – it would definitely attract an audience. 🙂 Seriously, though, I might have to access the page from home and create a document. Oh well. Is anyone else having this problem?

There are a lot of websites that I can't reach at work that I should be able to, it can be frustrating. I checked and the resources go to where they are supposed to be going. I checked from home though so I can't speak to any filter problems.
